It has taken me a little while to get to grips wit It has taken me a little while to get to grips with the regenerative flour from @cotswoldflour but now happy! .
Teamed with their YQ wheat flour, the baguettes have an added seed mix. Sourdough loaves to savour. The starter had sat in the fridge whilst on holiday for 2 weeks. Apart from a little going on top, it revived quickly. #sourdoughbread #realbread #madeingloucestershire #rofcob40 #regenerativeflour #yqwheatflour

Ten days, more than 1200 miles, just a few drops o Ten days, more than 1200 miles, just a few drops of rain and some wonderful experiences and great meals. But do you know what has stood out the most is the fabulous friendly service we’ve had whether stopping for a coffee, a salad lunch or in fine dining restaurants. People working hard to make us so welcome.
Our favourite dessert at Cafe de la Plage Arcachon - warm meringue spiral; amazing experience sitting on top of an enormous dune also Arcachon, a tiny restaurant called Echo in Bordeaux, the gardens in the cities, an assiette gourmand in Cognac and the markets, oh the markets. Could I have asked for more? To stay there perhaps. See other recent posts for more delights #jaimelafrance

Discovering the best bakeries in Bordeaux on a wal Discovering the best bakeries in Bordeaux on a walking tour - so inspiring to see what’s being baked and to try many different creations. #bordeauxvisite @bordeauxbestboulangeries #realbread
Villandry is simply breathtaking- the thought that Villandry is simply breathtaking- the thought that just 10 gardeners plants this out TWICE a year let alone trim all the hedges and lime trees. .
A fabulous meal at Opidum - chef had spent some time in Korea and there are little touches such as yuzu and ginger in his dishes. So much brightness and flavour - the first dish shown us actually the cheese course! The second our favourite- the thinnest slice of chicken with braised chicken, crispy skin, a rich jus and topped with courgette salad.
Prices are less than the UK. We have had a couple of excellent lunches for around 8 euros. A dud meal last night best forgotten..
Weather is sunny with a bit of a bite in the air but perfect for walking round #francetourisme #touraine #chateaudevillandry @l_opidom
So good to be back in France. I have missed it so! So good to be back in France. I have missed it so! A visit yesterday to https://www.museecompagnonnage.fr in Tours where fabulous pieces made by members of the ‘guilds’ are shown - many apprentice pieces - everything from locksmiths to sugarcraft. Today the International garden festival at Chaumont - many show gardens and art installations in the Chateau too.
Bread from a local baker - oh that particular smell of a French bakery and a mango passion bavarois.
The globe is all sugar work ! Look at the ´tree’s carefully it actually lots of plants planted on a frame

I have also managed to break a tooth! Luckily not painful but sharp.
Weather sunny but only 17c. @domainedechaumontsurloire
